Today I was thinking, who’s the big shot in boxing these days? So, I started digging around to figure it out.
First, I scrolled through some boxing news sites. I saw a lot of names popping up, but a few really stood out. One name that kept coming up was Canelo Alvarez. People were saying he’s the guy everyone’s watching. It’s like, if Canelo’s fighting, you gotta see it.

I read some articles and forum posts. People were debating, but Canelo was always in the mix. It seems like he’s not just good, he’s got that star power, you know?

Then there’s this Gervonta Davis guy. I noticed some folks saying he’s the next big thing, knocking on the door. They’re saying he could be as big as Canelo. I guess he’s got a big fight coming up, so that’ll be a big test for him.

I even stumbled upon some talk about Dmitry Bivol. Apparently, he’s a real tough cookie, been good since he was a kid. It’s like, this guy was born to fight. And get this, he was inspired by Jackie Chan. How cool is that?
I also checked out what some of the boxing legends are saying. Like, there’s this Andre Ward, who never lost a fight. When he talks, you listen. And he’s got his eye on the scene too, talking about who’s hot right now. Bob Arum is also still in the game.
But here’s the kicker. I asked some of my friends who don’t really follow boxing. I said, “Hey, do you know who Oleksandr Usyk is?” Most of them were like, “Who?” But when I mentioned Canelo, they all knew him. Even my buddy who only watches football knew Canelo.
My Conclusion
So, after all this digging and talking, I’m pretty sure Canelo Alvarez is the face of boxing right now. He’s the guy everyone knows, even if you’re not a hardcore boxing fan. Sure, there are other great fighters, but Canelo’s the main event. He’s the show. It is interesting that there are not so many people talking about Muhammad Ali, even though he was once seen as the best boxer ever.
This was a fun little investigation. Makes me want to watch Canelo’s next fight even more. And I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Gervonta Davis and Dmitry Bivol. Boxing’s got some exciting stuff going on!
