Today I wanna talk about Boselli, who joined the Texans. You know, it’s quite a story. I started by digging into Boselli’s past, he was a big shot with the Jaguars.
So, the first thing I did was try to find out when Boselli was picked up by the Texans. Turns out, it was way back in the 2002 expansion draft. I mean, this guy was the first pick, can you believe it?
Next, I dove into why he was such a hot commodity. Well, Boselli was a five-time Pro Bowl left tackle, a real star. The Texans were a new team back then, and they wanted Boselli to be their cornerstone, their main man.
Then I looked into how this whole thing went down. I read that the Texans’ general manager, Charley Casserly, and their coach, Dom Capers, they really wanted Boselli. They made a deal with the Jaguars, and along with Boselli, they also got Gary Walker and Seth Payne.

I also learned that the Texans’ first pick as an NFL team was quarterback David Carr in 2002, and in 2023, they picked C. J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr. Man, that’s a lot of history!
I also found out that the Texans have nine picks in the 2024 NFL draft. I guess they’re still building their team, just like they were trying to do with Boselli back in the day.
So, that’s the story of Boselli and the Texans as I found it. It’s a bit of a sad ending, but it’s also pretty cool to see how much they valued him.
