Alright, let’s talk about this FedEx Cup thing and who won it before. It’s like, who’s the big cheese in golf, you know? This whole thing, it’s about some points thingamajig, not just winning the games. They call it the PGA Tour. Sounds fancy, huh?
So, this FedEx Cup, it’s like a big prize. Like winning the lottery, but for golf. And you gotta get a whole bunch of these “FedEx Points” all year. The one with the most points, they win. Simple as that. But it ain’t easy, lemme tell ya. Lots of good players out there, all trying to get those points.
Now, the first fella to win this thing, back in 2007, was Tiger Woods. Heard of him? Big name. He won it twice. That is a good player. Yep, 2007 and then again in 2009, he got it. Two times! That’s like hitting the jackpot twice.
Then there was this other guy, Vijay Singh, he won in 2008. Don’t know much about him, but he must be good to win that cup.
In 2010, some fella named Jim Furyk won. These names, I tell ya. Hard to keep ’em straight. I need to write it down or something. He got the FedEx Cup, and I guess that’s a big deal.

- Then 2012, a guy named Brandt Snedeker. Sounds like a sneeze, that name.
- 2013, this Henrik Stenson fella took it home.
Billy Horschel, he got it in 2014. I reckon these fellas are all pretty good at hitting that little white ball.
2015, that was Jordan Spieth‘s year. Young fella, I think. They say he’s got a good swing. Whatever that means.
Now, this Rory McIlroy, he’s a big winner. Won it three times! 2016, 2019, and 2022. He’s like that Tiger Woods, winning it more than once. Must be living the high life, that one.
Justin Thomas, he won in 2017. Just one time for him, so far, I guess. And Justin Rose, he took it in 2018. Another Justin! They’re everywhere, these Justins.
So there you have it. All those previous FedEx Cup winners. Lots of names, lots of golf. It’s a big deal in that golf world, I guess. They all got that big trophy and probably a whole heap of money, too.
This Rory McIlroy, he’s the champ now. He won last year, 2022. He’s the one to beat, I reckon.
It is not like my day, when we just played for fun. Now it’s all about the points and the FedEx Cup. Times have changed, that’s for sure. These young folks with their fancy clubs and their PGA Tour.

Well, that’s all I know about those FedEx Cup winners. It’s a lot to remember. But I guess if you’re into golf, it’s all very exciting. Me, I’d rather be tending to my garden. But that’s just me.
