Where to watch the Jets game? What channel is the Jets on?

Well, my grandson, he’s always yelling about them Jets. Says I gotta watch the Jets game with him. He’s a good boy, but Lord, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout no football. I just nod and say, “That’s nice, honey.” But he keeps asking, “What channel is the Jets on?” I swear, I hear that question more than I hear the rooster crow in the mornin’!

Where to watch the Jets game? What channel is the Jets on?

So, I tried to figure it out. Asked that neighbor girl, the one always on her phone. She said somethin’ about “See Bee Ess” or some such. CBS, I reckon that’s it. She said you can watch the Jets games on that channel. Well, that’s easy enough to remember. Maybe now I can get some peace and quiet.

But then she started talking ’bout some other thingamajig. “Pera-mount Plus”? Sounded like somethin’ you’d use to clean the outhouse. She said you can watch them Jets on that too. And somethin’ about “AFC” and “NFL”. I just smiled and nodded. Too many letters for this old brain. I just wanna know what channel is the Jets on, that’s all.

She kept going on, talking real fast. Somethin’ about “Week 14” and some fella named “Too-ah Tag-oh-vee-low-ah” and another one named “Aaron Rogers”. Sounded like a bunch of gibberish to me. Like when the pigs get loose and start squealing. Then she said they also play against the Dolphins in Miami. Those Jets sure do travel a lot to play a game, don’t they? I used to walk miles to the store, and that is nothing compared to these boys. I guess that’s one way to see the world!

I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy channels. We had that one old TV with the rabbit ears, and you had to fiddle with it for an hour just to get a picture. And it was all snowy, like a blizzard in July. We didn’t care, though. We were just happy to have a TV. I am grateful that I can watch TV without having to adjust the rabbit ears. Sometimes, the picture is so clear, it seems like the players are right here in my home.

  • Just remember “See Bee Ess” (CBS), I reckon.
  • That “Pera-mount Plus” thing, whatever that is.
  • And that YouTube TV thing.

Now, that girl, she also mentioned somethin’ about a “YooToob TeeVee” and some “Sunday Ticket”. Sounded like a church social. Maybe they sell tickets to the Jets game on that YooToob thing? I don’t know. She said you could “stream” it. I thought maybe it had to do with the stream in my neighbor’s field. The one where the cows always try to take a dip.

Then she goes on about some “Vee Pee Enn”. Said it keeps your “ID” safe. I don’t know what that means. My ID is my face, and I ain’t hidin’ it from nobody! She said it’s for the internet. I don’t even know how to turn that internet thing on. All these newfangled words. Makes my head spin like a top. I don’t even know what channel is the Jets on YooToob TeeVee. Maybe I will ask my grandson, he knows all these new things. He can teach an old dog new tricks, or at least help me watch the Jets game.

She said somethin’ ’bout “Express Vee Pee Enn”, “Eye Pee Vanish”, and “Private Vee Pee Enn”. Sounded like a bunch of secret codes. Maybe they’re spies! I just wanted to know what channel is the Jets on. Why’s it gotta be so complicated?

Anyways, I think I got it now. CBS. That’s the main one. If I can just remember that, maybe my grandson will finally stop askin’. And maybe I’ll even start to understand what’s goin’ on in that game. Probably not, though. I’ll just keep noddin’ and sayin’, “That’s nice, honey.” And maybe I will sneak him some extra candy to keep him occupied so he won’t pester me so much about what channel the Jets game is on. He really loves the games. It’s nice he’s got something he’s so passionate about. Maybe one day he will play a game, and I will be cheering him on, just like he cheers for the Jets.

I still think it’s more fun to watch the chickens peck in the yard. But hey, if it makes him happy, I’ll watch them Jets. Just gotta remember that channel… CBS. Or was it PBS? Oh, well, I’ll figure it out. Or maybe I’ll just ask that neighbor girl again. She seems to know everything about everything, especially what channel is the Jets on. These young kids sure know a lot about these new inventions. I am glad that they can use them so easily. One thing is for sure, I will be watching the game with my grandson and enjoying time with him, no matter what channel the game is on.
