All you need is a Furnace. If you’ve been playing for any amount of time, you probably already have one set up. Then, you just need two pieces of wood. Yep, that’s it, just wood.
Now, here’s where your Pals come in handy. You need a Pal with the “Kindling” perk. They’re the ones who can work the Furnace. I used a fire-type Pal I caught earlier, and it worked like a charm. Just put the wood in the Furnace, assign your Kindling Pal to it, and boom, you’ve got yourself some charcoal.

- Get Some Wood: Chop down some trees, get two pieces of wood. You probably have tons of this stuff already.
- Use a Pal with Kindling: Get your fire-type Pal to work that Furnace.
