Hey everyone, I’ve been following Jalen Brunson’s situation closely, and I know a lot of you are curious about when he’ll be back on the court. So, I did some digging and wanted to share what I found.

I noticed that they mentioned Brunson had surgery on his fractured left hand. Ouch, that sounds painful. They said he’ll be re-evaluated in six to eight weeks after the surgery. That’s a pretty standard timeline for this type of injury. I also see the news said he got hurt in the last game against the Indiana Pacers. I remember that game. That was intense!
Then, I moved on to some sports news sites. I saw a report about a game against the Wizards where Brunson was mentioned. It looks like that game happened a while back, in early January 2025. But, I saw a tweet from Underdog NBA saying that Brunson will play on Friday night, January 4, 2025. That is great news.
After that, I dug a bit deeper and found some older articles talking about Brunson turning his ankle in a game against the 76ers. It seems like he went down pretty hard but managed to walk back to the locker room. That must have been a relief for Knicks fans. And, this is interesting, there’s talk about him missing a game due to a calf injury. It seems like the Knicks used that as an opportunity to showcase their team depth. That’s a smart move, especially with a tough game against OKC, who were topping the Western Conference and on a 13-game winning streak at the time. I remember seeing that streak – they were on fire!
Finally, I stumbled upon some news about Brunson’s contract. Apparently, he took a team-friendly deal, passing up on a lot of money to help the team. That shows his dedication to the Knicks and his desire to build a winning team. I always admire players who put the team first. Makes you respect them even more, right?
So, based on all this, it looks like Jalen Brunson will return on Friday, January 4, 2025. Hopefully, he’s fully recovered and ready to get back to his All-Star level of play. I know Knicks fans are eager to see him back in action, and so am I!
