Okay, so I was planning a trip to Nice, France, and like always, I got super hung up on figuring out the time difference. It sounds dumb, but I always mess this up and end up calling people at like 3 AM their time. Not cool.

Getting Started: Googling It
First, I just did a simple Google search. You know, typed in “what time is it in Nice, France” – classic move. And, of course, Google slaps the answer right there at the top of the page. Super convenient.
Double-Checking: Different sources
But I’ve been burned before, so I’m not taking any chances. I always double-check. I went to a couple of those time zone converter websites . You know the ones, where you put in your location and the place you’re interested in.
I put “My Location”(because I don’t want you guys know my place, haha), and “Nice, France,” hit enter, and boom – same answer as Google. Feeling a little better now.
Making Sure: Mental Math (and failing)
Then, because I’m extra, I tried to do the mental math. Figured out roughly where France is in relation to me, thought about time zones… Yeah, that got messy fast. My brain started hurting, so I scrapped that idea.
Final Step: Setting My Clocks
Once I was like 99% sure I had the right time, I went ahead and changed the clock on my phone. Also, I set a world clock on my other Phone so I can always have quick access to see what is the local time in Nice. No more accidental super-early calls!

So yeah, that’s my whole process for figuring out the time in Nice. Probably way more involved than it needs to be, but hey, at least I won’t be waking anyone up at ungodly hours! My schedule is set!
