Okay, so I’ve been messing around with golf gear lately, trying to figure out what works best for me. And you know what? I stumbled upon Xander Schauffele’s setup, and it’s pretty interesting. This guy, he’s a pro, right? 30 years old, American, and he’s been killing it on the course. He even won the 2024 Open Championship, which was his second major. That’s a big deal!

So, I started digging into what he’s using. First off, his driver. It’s a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond. Sounds fancy, huh? And get this, he’s got a Mitsubishi Diamana PD 70 TX shaft on it. I’m not gonna pretend I know exactly what all that means, but it sounds like it gives him some serious power and control off the tee.
Then, I checked out his irons. He’s rocking Callaway Apex TCB irons, and they look pretty sleek. They’ve got these True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue 100X shafts. Again, I’m not an expert, but these clubs seem like they’d give you a really solid feel and accuracy on your shots. A relatively straight leading edge gives the clubs a classic look.
I’m really thinking to change my gear to Xander’s

Now, why am I even looking at this stuff? Well, Xander’s been on a roll. He won the Men’s Olympic Golf Competition in 2021, at the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Japan. Then, in 2022, he took home the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. That was his fifth PGA Tour win! The guy’s got some serious skills, and his gear seems to be a big part of that.
I’m not saying I’m gonna go out and buy all the same stuff, but it’s definitely given me some ideas. I mean, if it works for a guy who’s winning major championships and Olympic gold, it’s gotta be worth checking out, right?
So yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to. Just geeking out on golf gear and trying to learn from the pros. Maybe I’ll try out some of these clubs sometime. Who knows, maybe it’ll help me shave a few strokes off my game!
