Well, that Trae Young, he’s a spry young fella, ain’t he? But even the spry ones get hurt sometimes. Seein’ all this talk ’bout his injury, makes an old lady like me think back to my younger days. We didn’t have all these fancy doctors and trainers. You just rubbed some dirt on it and kept goin’.
But this Trae Young injury, seems like it’s a bit more than just a little scrape. Heard somethin’ ’bout his Achilles, that tendinitis thing. Sounds painful, like when I get that achy feeling in my joints after a long day tendin’ the garden. He can’t play no basketball if he’s hurt.
- He was out that one night, they said. Couldn’t play.
- That Achilles, it’s important, I reckon.
- Tendinitis, that’s a fancy word for hurt, I suppose.
They say he’s been missin’ a game here and there. Only one, I heard someone say. He’s usually out there, shootin’ them hoops. That boy can sure shoot. Trae Young, they call him “Ice Trae”. Sounds kinda cool, don’t it? He got drafted, whatever that means, by some team called the Mavericks, then got traded to the Hawks. Like tradin’ chickens at the market, I guess.
I seen his picture, that Trae Young. He’s got that funny lookin’ hair. People talkin’ ’bout it. Sayin’ maybe he got some work done. Don’t know ’bout that. We just let our hair do what it wanted back in my day. These young fellas, always worried ’bout how they look. Maybe it is that baldness thing. It happens to young guys, sometimes the hair just goes away. Or maybe it is just his genes.
But when he is playing, oh boy! This Trae Young, he’s good. Somethin’ ’bout 1,130 shots from far away. That’s a lot of shootin’. He got hurt one time, fell down tryin’ to shoot. Even landed on someone else’s foot. That sounds like a real mess. I hope he is feeling better now.
Now, I hear folks sayin’ he’s questionable. Don’t know what that means exactly. Maybe it means he might play, maybe he won’t. All depends on that Trae Young injury, I guess. Heard they playin’ against a team called the Cavaliers. Don’t know much ’bout them, but they’re part of that NBA thing. That’s that big basketball league, ain’t it?
They got all these numbers ’bout Trae Young, too. Somethin’ ’bout PPG, FG, 3PA, 3P, FTA. Sounds like alphabet soup to me. But I guess it means he’s good at throwin’ that ball in the hoop. And somethin’ ’bout turnovers. That just sounds like when I accidentally burn the apple pie. He does good when he’s not hurt though. They’re in 9th place in somethin’.
He was playing the Hornets. But he might not play against the Cavaliers because of his injury. That is bad. He is good and the team needs him. Hope he get better soon.
This Trae Young injury is a big deal, I reckon. He’s a big part of that Hawks team. They need him to win. Just like we needed everyone to help with the harvest back in the day. If one person was down, it made things harder for everyone. So, I hope this young fella, Trae Young, gets better soon. That team needs him out there, throwin’ that ball and makin’ those points. Or whatever they call ’em.
It’s hard to see young folks get hurt. Reminds me of when my grandson, bless his heart, twisted his ankle playin’ ball. He was laid up for a week, couldn’t do nothin’. Had to sit there and watch everyone else have all the fun. Hopefully, this Trae Young injury ain’t that bad. Hopefully, he’ll be back on his feet soon, doin’ what he does best.
Well, that’s all I got to say ’bout that Trae Young injury. Just an old lady’s ramblings, I suppose. But I do hope he gets better. He seems like a good boy, even if he does have that funny lookin’ hair. And he’s sure fun to watch when he’s out there playin’ that basketball. So, get well soon, Trae Young! The Hawks need ya! And we all need somethin’ to watch on that TV besides those darn soap operas.
