Struggling with Nameless King Elden Ring? Check This Guide!

Alright, guys, let’s talk about my experience taking down the Nameless King in Elden Ring. Man, this fight was a BEAST. I’ve heard horror stories, and let me tell you, they weren’t lying!

First off, I prepped. And I mean really prepped. I made sure my Vigor was decent, my weapon was upgraded as much as possible, and I had a good supply of healing flasks. I went in with a basic +strength build, rocking heavy armor and a big, slow weapon. I wanted that good, big, damage in my hands.

The First Phase: King of the Storm

The first phase, against the King of the Storm (that big dragon thing), was all about learning the patterns. I spent a good hour just dodging, watching its attacks, and figuring out when I could safely get a hit or two in. The camera in this phase is your worst enemy, honestly. I kept getting clipped by attacks I couldn’t even see.

  • Tip 1: Don’t lock on to the dragon’s head for too long. Focus on the body, and only lock on the head when you have a clear opening.
  • Tip 2: When the dragon flies up and breathes fire down, run like hell! Don’t try to be a hero. Just get out of the way.
  • Tip 3: Stay by using close to his head, to make him use easier attacks.

After a bunch of tries (and a lot of deaths), I finally got the hang of it. I was landing hits, dodging the fire, and slowly but surely, I was chipping away at its health. It felt like a dance, a really dangerous, frustrating dance, but a dance nonetheless.

The Second Phase: The Nameless King Himself

Once the dragon went down, I thought I was in the clear. Nope. The Nameless King himself jumps down, and he’s even faster and more aggressive. This is where things got really tough.

This phase was all about patience and timing. He hits like a truck, and his attacks are relentless. I had to learn his combos, memorize the timing of his swings, and dodge at the absolute last second. I tried to stay close, baiting out his attacks and then punishing him with a quick hit or two.

  • Tip 1: Delayed attacks, be prepare for a few hits.
  • Tip 2: His lightning attacks have a huge area of effect, so be ready to dodge multiple times.
  • Tip 3: Don’t get greedy! One or two hits, then back off. Patience is key.

Honestly, I lost count of how many times I died. I was getting frustrated, yelling at the screen, the whole nine yards. But I kept at it. I studied his moves, refined my dodges, and slowly, very slowly, I started to see progress.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I landed the final blow. The feeling was incredible. Pure relief, mixed with a healthy dose of “I never want to do that again.” But hey, I did it. I beat the Nameless King. And if I can do it, so can you! Just remember: patience, practice, and a whole lot of dodging.
