Okay, so I really wanted to watch the Packers vs. Eagles game. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s the Packers and the Eagles! But there’s this whole thing with Peacock, and honestly, I wasn’t about to sign up for another streaming service just for one game.
First, I checked if it was on regular TV. Nope. Then I saw that it was going to be on Peacock, and I was like, “Seriously?” I mean, the game was supposed to be streamed exclusively on Peacock. So, I started digging around to see if there were other options.
I remembered that Hulu + Live TV has a bunch of channels. I quickly checked, and it turns out they carry ESPN, ABC, NBC, and even Fox. Great! But then I realized that only the Week 1 game was on Peacock, and this wasn’t it. Plus, I was rooting for the Packers, and I’m not even sure if I’m considered in-market or out-of-market. Too complicated.
- Checked regular TV – No luck.
- Saw it was exclusively on Peacock – Ugh.
- Checked Hulu + Live TV – Promising, but not for this game.
Then I looked into those other live TV streaming things like YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, Sling TV, and Fubo. They all seemed to have the right channels, especially since the game was going to air nationally on FOX. But the thing is, I didn’t have any of those subscriptions either. And signing up for a whole new service just for one game? No way.
There was also this NFL+ thing, which seemed like it was only for streaming on your phone or tablet. That’s not how I wanted to watch the game. I like my big screen, you know?
The Struggle Was Real
I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure this out. I even thought about asking my neighbor if he had any of these streaming services, but that felt a bit too much. Finally, I just decided to catch the highlights later. Sometimes, it’s just not worth the hassle, even for a Packers vs. Eagles game.
