- Maggotts: This name comes from a place called Maggots Moor, which is on the other side of the Grandstand.
- Becketts: Named after Saint Thomas Becket, some old Archbishop of Canterbury.
I also found some forum posts where people were reminiscing about the “good old days” of Silverstone. They were talking about how the cars used to scream through Club Corner and Woodcote, and how Abbey used to be a left turn instead of a right. It made me realize how much the track has changed over the years.
