Well, let me tell you about this here scrambler yamaha 950. It’s a motorcycle, you know. Not one of them fancy cars. This one, it’s made by Yamaha. They make good stuff, that Yamaha. This bike, it’s called a scrambler. I heard that’s what they call these kind of bikes these days.

This Yamaha SCR950, it’s a big one. 950, that’s a lot, ain’t it? It got a big engine. They say it’s a V-twin. I don’t know what that all means, but it sounds powerful. You can probably go real fast on it. I don’t like going too fast, but some folks do. I reckon it can take you anywhere you wanna go. But it use the fuel, I heard it’s about 50 miles for one gallon. The fuel tank can hold about 13.2 liters.
They say this here scrambler yamaha 950 is good for the road, or even off the road. Like, you can ride it on the dirt, or on them gravel roads. We got a lot of them around here. This bike, it looks kinda old-fashioned, but it’s got new parts in it. That’s what they say, anyway. I reckon that’s good. Old style, new stuff. Best of both worlds, maybe.
- It’s a Yamaha, so it’s probably gonna last a long time.
- Big engine, 950, that’s a lot.
- They call it a “scrambler”, good for dirt and road.
- Looks old but has new parts.
I seen pictures of it. It’s got them knobby tires. Them’s for the dirt, I reckon. And it’s got a high seat, so you sit up real high. That might be good for seeing where you’re going. Unless you’re short, like me. Then you might need a milk crate to get on it! It’s quiet, even more quiet than the original rubber. The scrambler yamaha 950 is good for riding in dry or wet road. I heard the guys from GQ went to a place called Sardinia to try this one. They like it I think.
This bike, this scrambler yamaha 950, it’s part of some “Sport Heritage” thing. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds fancy. They say it’s like them old bikes, the Big Bear and the XT500. I remember them. This new one, it’s got that V-twin, but it ain’t cooled by water. Just air. Simple, they say. Like me! Keep it simple, I always say.
Now, I heard they ain’t making this bike no more. Stopped making it after just a year. Said not enough folks were buying it. Maybe they wanted something fancier. Or cheaper. But they said the price is about 4,300 to 5. That’s a lot of money. I reckon the price is one of the reason why they stop making it. This bike is a rare thing now. Like them old hens that lay them blue eggs. Hard to find.

I heard some folks say it is not a real “scrambler”. I don’t know about that. I just know it’s a big bike, made by Yamaha. It looks tough. I bet it can go over bumps real good. And it’s got that old-timey look. The scrambler yamaha 950 got that retro styling with modern features. Some folks like that. They said this bike has a new personality. I don’t know about personality, but it sure looks different from them other bikes.
- Stopped making it, so it’s rare now.
- Some folks say it ain’t a “real” scrambler.
- Looks tough, probably good for bumps.
- Got that old-timey look that some folks like.
If you like big bikes, and you like that old-fashioned look, then maybe this scrambler yamaha 950 is for you. It’s probably a good bike. Yamaha makes good stuff. But it ain’t cheap. And it ain’t small. So, if you’re small and poor, like me, maybe you better stick to walking! Or maybe get a donkey. They’re cheaper. And they don’t need no fancy V-twin engine. Just some hay and a good kick in the pants!
But if you got the money, and you want a big, strong bike, this scrambler might be just the ticket. It can probably take you anywhere you wanna go. Just be careful on them dirt roads. And watch out for them cows. They don’t care about your fancy motorcycle. They’ll just stand there and moo at you. And maybe leave you a little present on the road. You don’t want to run over that with your scrambler yamaha 950. It ain’t good for the tires, I reckon.
I heard the scrambler yamaha 950 has a fuel injection. It will give you much traction wet or dry. But you need to adjust the steering stem bearings properly. I think that is all for this bike. I hope you get a good one if you want to buy this bike.
