Spent some time in the garage this weekend, just looking over my old motorcycle. Doesn’t get out as much as it used to, you know? But just being around it, the smell of the oil, the feel of the metal, it kinda grounds you. Got me thinking about riding in general, why we do it.
Then, funny enough, I saw some pictures pop up of David Beckham on one of his bikes. You see that stuff pretty often, actually. It’s not just a photo op thing, seems like he genuinely gets out there and rides. Heard he takes some proper long trips, real adventures on two wheels.
Thinking About It
It’s interesting, isn’t it? Here’s this guy, known for football, fashion, all that celebrity stuff. Loads of money, obviously. Probably got more in his little finger than I’ve seen in my life. He could have any fancy car, fly anywhere. But he chooses to get on a motorbike.
- Custom Bikes: You see the machines he rides. Not just off-the-shelf stuff. Custom Triumphs, Harleys, real lookers. Guess when you’ve got the cash, why not?
- The Image: There’s that rugged look that comes with riding. Leather jacket, boots. It’s a bit different from his usual sharp suits or ads.
- Family Guy Too: But then you remember, he’s also painted as this big family man. Heard his wife, Victoria, called him her soulmate. Always pictures with the kids. Makes you wonder how the rough biker image fits with being a dedicated dad and husband. Seems to manage it fine.
Maybe it’s just about the freedom. Doesn’t matter who you are, maybe that feeling of the wind, the open road, it connects with everyone who enjoys it. He retired from playing ages ago, built this whole other empire, brand deals, owns a football club now, crazy wealth they say. But still gets on the bike.
It’s just kinda cool to see, I guess. Someone that famous, still finding time for something pretty basic, even if his version is way more expensive than mine! Makes the whole motorbike thing feel a bit more universal. Just an observation I had while wiping down my own dusty ride.
