Ready for the try not to cry challenge? These are the most emotional videos you need to watch today.

Alright, so I kept seeing this “try not to cry challenge” popping up everywhere. You know how it is, you see something enough times, you get curious. Thought to myself, how hard can it really be? I mean, I’m not exactly a huge crier watching movies or whatever. So, yeah, I decided to give it a go myself yesterday evening.

Ready for the try not to cry challenge? These are the most emotional videos you need to watch today.

Getting Started

Didn’t do much prep, honestly. Just grabbed my laptop, sat down on the couch. Figured I’d just search for one of those compilation videos. Found one pretty quick, seemed popular enough. Didn’t even grab tissues – felt like that would be admitting defeat before I even started, you know? Just hit play and settled in.

The first few clips were okay. Some heartwarming stuff, reunions, soldiers coming home, that kind of thing. Got a little lump in my throat maybe once, but nothing serious. I was thinking, “Okay, I got this.” Felt pretty confident. Famous last words, right?

The Rough Part

Then the videos started shifting. They threw in some really sad animal stories. Man, those get me. There was one about an old dog… yeah, that one was tough. Had to take a deep breath, look away from the screen for a second. My eyes definitely started to water up a bit. I was like, nope, swallow it down, blink hard. Don’t you dare.

It just kept going. More sad stories, clips about loss, people overcoming huge struggles but showing the pain along the way. It wasn’t just one thing, it was the constant wave after wave of emotional stuff. My throat felt tight the whole time. I was literally biting my lip at one point, trying to distract myself.

  • Soldier reunions – Handled it.
  • Touching moments – Mostly fine.
  • Sad animal clips – Danger zone.
  • Stories of loss/illness – Really, really tough.

There was this one specific clip, I don’t even remember exactly what it was about now, something with an old man talking about his wife, I think. That was it. The dam just broke. Wasn’t like a big sob or anything, but the tears definitely started rolling. Just couldn’t hold it back anymore. It felt kind of ridiculous, sitting there alone, tearing up at my laptop screen.

So, Did I Win?

Nope. Failed. Big time, probably about halfway through the video compilation I was watching. Once the first tear fell, a few more followed. Had to pause the video and just take a minute. It wasn’t even that I felt super sad myself, it was more like… empathy overload? Just feeling all those emotions from the clips.

Wiped my eyes, felt a bit silly, but also kind of… cleansed? I don’t know. It’s weird. I guess the challenge worked, it definitely pushed my buttons. Wasn’t expecting to actually fail, but hey, that’s how it went down. It’s harder than it looks, that’s for sure. Anyway, that was my attempt. Maybe you’d do better, who knows.
