Alright, guys, so I’ve been getting into the UFC lately, and I became super curious about the actual Octagon itself. Like, what are the exact dimensions? I kept seeing different numbers thrown around, so I decided to figure it out myself, once and for all. No more guessing!

Digging for Specs
I started by hitting up the internet. My first move was to go and searched with some simple keywords. I wasn’t finding a super clear, definitive answer at first. Some sites said one thing, others said something slightly different. It was a bit of a mess.
I thought to myself, “There’s gotta be an official source somewhere, right?”
My measurements and notes
Then after reading some details and I started to note them down, I pulled out my trusty tape measure and started sketching.
- Overall Width: First, I tackled the overall *’s 30 feet * enough.
- Fence Height: I moved onto the fence height. It ranges from 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches.
- Fighting Area: The fighting area is around 746 square feet.
- Canvas Thickness: Okay, I obviously couldn’t measure this directly, but I found a place stating the canvas thickness, is 1 inch!
So, there you have it! I feel way more informed now, and it’s cool to know the exact size of the space where all those epic fights go down. It’s bigger than I initially thought, to be honest.
