Yesterday was a big day! Finally watched the World Cup final. I have been looking forward to this for so long. And, of course, I am a big fan of Messi, so I was so hyped.
At first, I got all my snacks ready and just camped in front of the TV. Then, I opened it and found the channel to watch the game.
When the game started, I was so nervous. I mean, it’s the final, and it’s Messi’s last shot at the World Cup.
First Half, Argentina Go Hard!
Argentina scored in the first half, which was freaking awesome! Messi scored a penalty. The crowd went crazy, and I was screaming at my TV, too!

- Argentina got another goal later in the first half.
Honestly, France was not that good in the first half. They seemed so tired and slow.
Second Half, France Wakes Up!
The second half started, and France was like a different team. Mbapp scored, and it was crazy! Then he scored again like a minute later! What a guy! Can you believe that? He is really good.
- Mbapp scored twice in like two minutes.
- The game got tied 2-2.
After the regular 90 minutes, it was still tied. So, it went into extra time.
Extra Time, Still Tied!
In extra time, Messi scored again! I was jumping around like crazy. But then, Mbapp also scored again from a penalty, which is so unbelievable. That guy is a monster!

- Mbapp got a hat trick.
- 3-3 after extra time.
Penalty Shootout!
The game went into a penalty shootout. This part was so nerve-wracking. Each shot was like life or death, ha.
- Both Messi and Mbapp scored their penalties.
- Argentina’s goalkeeper saved a few shots.
Argentina won the shootout! I was so happy and almost cried a little. It was such an emotional moment, especially for Messi. He finally got his World Cup.
The End!
After the game, they showed the trophy ceremony. It was so cool to see Messi holding the trophy. It was a dream come true for him and all of us fans. The stadium was packed, with 88,966 people there, which is a lot of people. They had a big party in Argentina to celebrate. That’s so great.
What a day! It was one of the best football matches I have ever seen. I will never forget it.
