Okay, so, I wanted to mess around with this quest thing in World of Warcraft called “A Light in the Dark.” Sounds cool, right? Turns out, it was a bit of a pain, but I got through it, and I figured I’d share my struggle ’cause, why not? Maybe it’ll help someone else out there.

First off, I had to find this quest. I spent so long just trying to figure out where to even begin, it’s the only one I needed for some “War Within” campaign thing. I finally found some dude named Faerin Lothar, all majestic and whatnot, talking about needing to “light our path.” Classic fantasy stuff.
So, the quest officially starts. I’m pumped. I’m thinking epic battles, maybe some cool loot. The whole deal is you gotta light these braziers, which are like, big torches. You are on this ship called the Dawnbreaker. It’s a mess down there, let me tell you.
Now, here’s where things got tricky. There are these mobs everywhere, and I thought I had to kill every single one. I was running around like a headless chicken, getting smacked around, wasting time.
- Big Mistake #1: I found out the hard way, you don’t actually have to kill all the mobs! I wasted so much time on that.
After nearly rage-quitting, I realized you just need to light the braziers. That’s it. You can run past a lot of the enemies. So, I started doing that, dodging and weaving like a pro. I guess? It was more like flailing, but hey, it worked.
Lighting the Braziers
Once I figured that out, it was all about finding these braziers and clicking on them to light them up. I did that, and kept moving. You can even see them on your map. Not gonna lie, it was still a bit hectic, but way better than before.

Finally, after what felt like forever, I lit the last one. And you know what? Quest complete! That’s all there was to do. I felt a little silly for struggling so much at the beginning, but hey, live and learn, right?
So, yeah, that’s my story of tackling “A Light in the Dark.” Hopefully, my mistakes can help someone else out there. Don’t be like me, just light the braziers and save yourself some time and frustration. Trust me on this one.
