Okay, here is my sharing about making a crown.
The other day, I was in a crafty mood. So I was thinking, what can I make today? I decided to try making a crown. I had some materials lying around that I thought I could use. I found this metal ribbon stuff, it’s kinda like what you’d use to wrap gifts. I also had some wire, a hot glue gun, and some spray paint.
First, I took the metal ribbon and started bending it into a circle shape, which is like the basic shape for the bottom of a crown. It took a little bit of time to get it right. I wanted to make sure it was a good size for my head. Once I had the circle shape, I used the wire to secure it in place. I just wrapped it around a few times to make sure it wouldn’t come loose.
Next, I used the metal ribbon again to make the pointy parts of the crown. I cut some different lengths of ribbon and bent them into triangle shapes. It took some time but eventually, I got it. Then, I used my hot glue gun to stick them onto the circle base. You gotta be careful with hot glue, it can burn you. I learned that the hard way once. When I finished it, I waited for it to cool down and be solid.

- Step 3: Create triangle shapes from the ribbon.
- Step 4: Glue the triangle shapes to the circle base.
After the glue dried, I took the crown outside and spray-painted it. I wanted a gold crown. I just sprayed it all over, making sure to get all the sides. I also found some flat-back beads in my craft box and glued them onto the crown for some extra bling. Because, you know, every crown needs some jewels.
Spray Painting and Decorating
Spray painting the crown was an easy step, and adding the beads was also easy. It was fun. It took a while for the paint to dry, but once it did, the crown looked pretty good. It wasn’t perfect. It was a little rough around the edges, but I made it myself, so I was proud of it.
I also saw some ideas online for making crowns out of paper. That seems like it would be easier, especially for kids. You can just cut out shapes and glue them together. There are even templates you can download and print. I might try that next time with my kid. It’s a fun project to do with them.
Anyway, that’s how I made a crown. It was a fun little project, and I’m happy with how it turned out. Maybe next time I’ll try making a flower crown. I saw some tutorials for that, and it looks pretty simple. You just need some wire and some flowers. It would be fun for the summer.
