So, I’ve been meaning to share this with you guys for a while now. I finally got around to watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in basketball the other day, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rollercoaster.
First off, I had to figure out how to actually watch the darn thing. I’m not exactly a tech wizard, so it took me a minute to find the right channel or stream or whatever. After some clicking around and a few wrong turns, I eventually landed on the right spot. Phew, that was an adventure in itself!
The game was scheduled for Sunday, December 8th, at 2:00 PM ET, in Lincoln. I made sure I had my snacks ready and my comfy spot on the couch secured. I was ready to go!
Setting the Stage

Before the game even started, I did a little digging to see what the experts were saying. Turns out, Nebraska was the slight favorite, with a 2-point edge according to the odds. I’m not much of a gambler, but I thought, “Hey, maybe Nebraska’s got this.”
I also found out that this was the first round of the Big Ten Tourney, and it was being played at the United Center at 9 p.m. ET on March 8th. That’s kind of confusing now that I think about it, but hey, I was just excited to watch some basketball!
The Game Begins!
The game kicked off, and it was pretty clear from the get-go that Minnesota was coming off a loss. They seemed a bit shaky, maybe a little low on energy. Nebraska, on the other hand, was all pumped up after their last win. They were playing with some real fire.
As the game went on, it was a bit of a back-and-forth. I gotta say, I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. There were some great plays, some not-so-great plays, and a whole lot of yelling at the TV from yours truly.
The Aftermath
I also read somewhere that Nebraska hasn’t exactly been killing it in the NCAA tournament. Apparently, they’ve been there eight times but haven’t won a single game yet! They’re the only big-time school with that kind of record. Ouch, that’s gotta sting a little.
Anyway, it was a fun game to watch, even if it was a bit confusing at times with the dates and times and whatnot. I’m no sports expert, but I enjoy watching a good game and sharing my thoughts with you all. It’s always an experience, that’s for sure!
