This here’s about that Michigan State bowl game, or the lack of it. I heard folks talkin’, sayin’ Michigan State ain’t gonna be in no bowl game this year. Ain’t that somethin’? Five wins and seven losses, they say. Well, I’ll be!
Michigan State Bowl Game This Year? Nope!
They needed to win more, I reckon. That last game against Rutgers, they lost real bad. So no fancy bowl game for them this time. They was sayin’ somethin’ about needin’ three more wins to make it to a bowl game back in July. July! Can you believe it? Time sure does fly.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these things, but I hear folks sayin’ they gotta improve this and that. They lost two games in a row, I hear. Land sakes.
- They say they needed to win two outta the last three games.
- They lost two in a row.
- Five losses in six games. That ain’t good.
- They needed three wins to make it to the bowl game.
I remember one time, they was talkin’ ’bout a game in Detroit, at that Ford Field. Called it the GameAbove Sports Bowl, or somethin’ like that. December 26th, they said. But now? Nothin’.
What’s a Body to Do at a Game?
Now, if you DO go to one of these games, here’s what I hear you can bring:
- Little cameras and radios. But leave them fancy cases at home, they ain’t needed.
- Blankets, ’cause it gets cold. And somethin’ for the rain, but no umbrellas.
- One bottle of water. Got to be sealed, though. Twenty ounces, that’s what they say.
I heard somethin’ about tailgatin’ too. They open up them lots early now. Seven in the mornin’ for some games, eleven for others. Only on Saturdays, though. Used to be different times. One pass for one space, that’s the rule.
Michigan State Ain’t Goin’ to No Bowl Game
But like I said, Michigan State ain’t goin’ to no bowl game this year. Five wins, seven losses. They needed more wins, plain and simple.
Someone said somethin’ about Shreveport and an Independence Bowl. But Michigan State? They ain’t goin’. They lost that last game, and that was that.
Folks are sayin’ they gotta get better. Five losses in six games? Mercy! That ain’t gonna cut it.
They was sayin’ back in July, they needed to improve. Well, they didn’t improve enough, I guess.
Michigan State Football – One Win Away, But Not This Time
I heard them sayin’ the Michigan State football team was one win away from bein’ able to go to a bowl game. Just one! But then they lost to Purdue. 24 to 17, I think it was.
So, no bowl game for Michigan State. It ain’t pretty, and it ain’t easy, that’s what they’re sayin’.
I remember someone sayin’ somethin’ about some guy named Braw Crawford, and he had these predictions about bowl games. Sunday mornin’ he released ’em, they said.
But none of that matters now. Michigan State ain’t in no bowl game.
No Bowl Game for Michigan State
Well, that’s all I know about that Michigan State bowl game situation. Or the lack of a bowl game, I should say. They tried, I reckon, but it just wasn’t enough. Five wins and seven losses. It ain’t what they wanted, that’s for sure. They ain’t got enough wins. No bowl game for them this year. Maybe next year they’ll do better. Who knows?
