Okay, let me tell you about this time I ended up at the 76 gas station right by Dodger Stadium.

Getting Gas Near the Stadium
So, I was driving near Elysian Park, heading towards the stadium area, not even for a game this time, just passing through on my way somewhere else. My tank was getting low, you know how it is, the light wasn’t on yet, but I like to be safe rather than sorry. I saw the big orange 76 ball sign sticking up, right there near the stadium entrances off Vin Scully Ave, or whatever they call that road now. It’s kinda hard to miss.
I decided, okay, let’s just get it done here. Pulled off the main road and into the station lot. It wasn’t super packed, which was nice. Sometimes, especially if there’s a game on, that place can be a real zoo. Found an open pump pretty easily.
Got out, did the usual thing. Put my card in the reader, selected the gas grade – just regular unleaded for my old car. The numbers on the pump started clicking up. I just stood there for a bit, leaning against the car, watching the traffic go by on the street. You can see parts of the stadium structure from the pumps, kinda cool I guess. Makes you think about all the games played there.
Let me tell you, the prices… well, they are what they are. You’re paying for the location, right? Right next to a major landmark like Dodger Stadium, you expect to pay a bit more per gallon. No surprises there, just gotta accept it if you need gas right then and there.
Didn’t need anything from the little store, so I didn’t go inside. Just waited for the tank to fill. The pump clicked off, put the nozzle back, screwed the gas cap on tight. Made sure to get the receipt from the pump, always gotta keep track of those things.

Then it was just a matter of carefully pulling out of the station lot. Had to wait for a gap in the traffic, people drive kinda fast around there sometimes. Got back on the road and continued on my way. Just a quick, simple stop, but it’s always kinda interesting being right there in the shadow of the stadium, even if it’s just for gas.
