Litibu Golf Course Mexico: Golfing paradise awaits you.

So, I finally got around to playing that Litibu course down in Mexico the other day. Been meaning to check it out for a while, heard mixed things, you know how it is. Anyway, woke up, felt like hitting some balls, so I grabbed my sticks and headed out.

Finding the place wasn’t too bad. Pulled in, and it felt kinda low-key, not too crazy busy which was nice. Got myself sorted at the little pro shop, paid the green fee, and just took a look around first. Felt pretty quiet, a bit rugged maybe, which I don’t mind.

Getting Started

Walked over to the first tee. Right away, you see it’s gonna be interesting. Lots of jungle, tight fairways on some of those early holes. You really gotta keep the ball in play, no messing around. I started off okay, managed to find the fairway, made a par. Felt good.

The first few holes were definitely like that, winding through the thick stuff. You miss the fairway, you’re probably saying goodbye to that ball. I donated one early on, maybe hole 3 or 4? Just pulled it left a bit and poof, gone into the jungle. Frustrating, but part of the game, right?

The Ocean Views Kick In

Then things started to open up a bit more. You climb a little hill, turn a corner, and bam – there’s the ocean. That’s what everyone talks about, I guess. Some really great views on a few holes along the coast. Made you stop and just look for a second before hitting.

Those ocean holes were something else. The wind picked up a bit too, coming right off the water. Made club selection tricky. You had to really think about the shot, not just whale away at it. I remember one par 3, hitting right towards the water, felt pretty cool. Managed to get it on the green, two-putted. Happy with that.

  • Keeping it straight was key, especially early on.
  • The ocean views were definitely the highlight.
  • Wind became a factor on the coastal holes.
  • Lost a ball or two, but found some good shots too.

Wrapping Up the Round

The back nine felt like a mix. Some more tight holes, some more open ones with those views again. Condition of the course was alright, not perfect, but playable. Greens rolled okay, maybe a little slow in spots but mostly decent.

I wasn’t exactly tearing the course up, had my share of bad shots, couple doubles on the card. But had some good moments too. Hit a nice approach on 16, stuck it close. Made a decent putt on 18 to finish. Felt tired walking off the last green, it’s a decent walk, pretty hilly in places.

Overall? Yeah, it was a decent day out. Challenging course, for sure. You gotta hit it straight. The views were the best part. Would I go back? Probably. It was a solid golfing experience, nothing too fancy, just golf. Went back to the clubhouse, grabbed a cold drink, just sat there for a bit thinking about the round. That’s what it’s all about, really. Just getting out there and playing.
