That Lecce, they’re a tough bunch, playin’ in their home place, that Via del Mare stadium. Heard it’s in Lecce city, some place in Italy. But Atalanta, they ain’t no pushovers neither. They got some good players. I reckon it’ll be a real fight, that Lecce vs Atalanta match, a real fight.
They say it is Serie A, some big league. I don’t know much ’bout that, but I know a good football game when I see one. You know, like when them kids play in the field, all runnin’ and kickin’. This is like that, just with more folks watchin’.

I just set my clock by the sun, much easier. Some people watch it on something called Eurosport. I just listen on the radio, myself.
Back in November, November 10, 2022, to be exact, there was another one of these Lecce vs Atalanta games. Time just flies, don’t it? Folks were talkin’ ’bout live somethin’ or other, and TV listings. I just like to know who won, that’s all that matters, right?

Someone said somethin’ ’bout a “live” thing called LECCE VS ATALANTA, all in capital letters, like they’re yellin’. And somethin’ about “PRIMAVERA 1” and “14 Giornata”. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. I just like to see a good, clean game, that’s all. Lots of running and kicking. That’s football.
And then they got some big organization, Lega somethin’. They got events and history and headquarters. It’s like the county fair, but all year round, I reckon. Lots of folks makin’ a big deal outta it all. Just like with the big pumpkins or the prize-winnin’ hens. Lots of runnin’ around, lots of noise.

They talk about this H2H thing and lineups and ratings, like it’s some kinda school test. And a “shotmap”, like they’re keepin’ track of every little thing. Back in my day, we just watched the game and yelled a lot. That was more fun, I think. But these young folks, they like their numbers and their fancy words.
Someone said somethin’ ’bout a game where Lecce lost to Atalanta, 0-4. That’s a tough one. But you win some, you lose some, that’s how it goes. Like plantin’ seeds, sometimes they sprout, sometimes they don’t. Just gotta keep tryin’. This Brescianini and Retegui, they must be good, scorin’ all them goals.
This Lecce vs Atalanta, it’s more than just a game, I guess. It’s like a whole world, with all its own rules and words and folks. Just like our little town, but bigger, and with more hollerin’. And probably more expensive shoes. I reckon it will be a tough game. Hope that Lecce team can do their best.
