Juwan Johnson Fantasy: Will He Be a Top TE This Year?

Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this fantasy football thing, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride. Today, I want to talk about Juwan Johnson. Yeah, that guy from the New Orleans Saints. I had to figure out if he’s worth keeping on my team or if I should just drop him.

Juwan Johnson Fantasy: Will He Be a Top TE This Year?

First thing I did was check out his stats for this year. I saw that he’s got 64.8 fantasy points, which works out to about 4.6 per game. Not too bad, but not amazing either. He’s ranked 216th overall in the league and 21st for tight ends. That’s not really starting material in my book.

Then, I dug into his recent games. Over the past three, he’s only averaged 3.5 fantasy points. That’s 10.5 total. He caught 10 passes out of 15 targets for 105 yards. It seems he is not having the best time recently.

Checking for News and Updates

Next, I started looking for any news or advice about him. What are other people saying? Are there any injuries I should know about? Turns out, there’s a lot of chatter. Some folks are saying to start him, others say to sit him. There was also talk about him being a limited participant in practice because of a knee issue. That’s not good.

Looking at Last Week’s Performance

I went back to his last game, Week 13. He had a season-high seven targets, which is pretty good. But did he make the most of them? I had to see if those targets turned into anything useful.

Comparing with Pre-Season Rankings

Before the season started, he was ranked 26th for tight ends. That’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. I wondered if he’s living up to that ranking or if he’s falling short.

Considering the Team Situation

I also thought about the Saints’ situation. With Taysom Hill out for the year, there might be more chances for Johnson. I wondered if he could step up and help out Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara. It’s all about those opportunities, right?

Making the Decision

After looking at all this, I had to make a call. Is he worth keeping? Should I start him this week? It’s tough. He’s got potential, but that knee injury and his recent performance are worrying.

  • Pros:
    • Season-high targets in the last game.
    • Potential for more opportunities with Hill out.
  • Cons:
    • Knee injury.
    • Low fantasy points in recent games.
    • Inconsistent performance.

So, what did I decide? Well, it’s a tough call, but I think I’m going to bench him for now. I need to see more from him before I trust him in my starting lineup. Fantasy football is all about making those tough decisions, and sometimes you just have to go with your gut.

That’s my take on Juwan Johnson. It’s been a journey figuring him out, and I’m sure there will be more ups and downs. But hey, that’s what makes fantasy football so interesting, right? You never really know what’s going to happen.
