Justin Thomas Putter Length: Secrets to His Putting Success

Hey everyone, so I’ve been messing around with my putter lately, trying to get it just right. You know, like how the pros do it. I was reading up on Justin Thomas, that guy’s got some serious skills on the green, and I got curious about his putter length. Figured I’d give it a shot and see if tweaking mine could help my game.

Justin Thomas Putter Length: Secrets to His Putting Success

First off, I started by digging into what kind of setup Justin uses. Turns out, he’s got this SuperStroke Pistol GT Tour grip. Sounds fancy, right? Apparently, it’s great for a conventional grip, which is what I use mostly. I don’t have that exact grip, but I do have something similar. I swapped out my old grip for it, it wasn’t too hard, just a bit of elbow grease.

  • Measured my current putter length.
  • Checked out some stuff online about how height affects putter length.
  • Realized that most of us regular folks don’t even think about customizing this stuff!

Then came the tricky part – figuring out the right length. I read somewhere that you gotta consider your height, not just go with the standard size. Makes sense, I guess. So, I spent a good chunk of time measuring and adjusting. It’s not as easy as it looks! I even tried holding the putter in different positions, you know, trying to find that sweet spot.

After all that tinkering, I finally settled on a length that felt pretty good. It’s not a huge difference from what I had before, but it feels more comfortable, more natural. I headed out to the putting green to test it out. I spent a couple of hours just putting, getting a feel for the new setup.

My Takeaway

Honestly, I think I’m onto something here. My putting felt a bit more consistent, and I was definitely more comfortable over the ball. It’s not like I’m suddenly sinking every putt, but I feel like I’ve got a better chance now. It’s all about those small improvements, right? I recommend all of you to do such things like me, it’s useful and interesting.

It’s crazy how much goes into these things that we don’t normally think about. And hey, if it works for a pro like Justin Thomas, it’s gotta be worth a try, right? I even bought some different grips and shafts online. I found a site called The GolfWorks, they’ve got everything you could need, from Titleist to TaylorMade, even Maxfil. It’s pretty cool. I’ll keep experimenting and see how it goes. Maybe I’ll even try building my own putter someday! I believe that anyone can build their own clubs. That sounds like fun, I guess, and I can enjoy the process a lot.
