Okay, so the other day, I was scrolling through my phone, and a question popped into my head: “Is rugby 15s in the Olympics 2024?” I’m a big sports fan, and I honestly couldn’t remember if I’d seen it before.

Figuring it Out
First, I tried to remember, you know, racking my brain to see if I’d watched it in past Olympics. Nope, nothing. Total blank. So, I figured, it’s time to hit up the internet.
I grabbed my phone and opened up my browser. I typed in something simple like “rugby 15s Olympics 2024”. Boom! A whole bunch of stuff showed up.
I started skimming through the search results. I saw a few articles and noticed some official-looking websites. I clicked on one that looked like it was from the Olympics or something.
The Real Deal
As I scrolled down, I quickly realized that I was only seeing stuff about Rugby Sevens. Rugby Sevens, Rugby Sevens, Rugby Sevens… everywhere! Hmmm.
I dug a little deeper, reading through a few different articles. Finally, it became clear.

- Rugby Sevens IS in the Olympics.
- Rugby 15s, the version with 15 players on each team, IS NOT part of the Olympics.
Putting It All Together
So, there you have it. I went from totally clueless to having a definite answer. It’s Rugby Sevens, the faster, 7-a-side version, that’s going to be in Paris 2024. No 15s this time around! I’m pretty sure I watched Rugby Sevens in the previous olympics.
