Alright, so I was messing around in Starfield the other day, and I got it in my head that I really wanted Imogene’s outfit. You know, the one she wears when you first meet her at Ryujin Industries? Yeah, that one. But here’s the thing – I didn’t wanna kill her for it. Seemed a bit extreme, even for a video game, right?
So, I started poking around, seeing if there was a way to snag it without, you know, resorting to violence. First off, I went through the whole Ryujin questline, doing all those missions where you’re basically a corporate spy. Fun stuff, by the way. I tried being super sneaky, hoping maybe I could lift the outfit off her while she wasn’t looking, but no dice. Pickpocketing doesn’t seem to work on important characters like her.
Then, during one of the later missions, you gotta confront Imogene because everyone thinks she’s been leaking company secrets. Turns out, she’s actually innocent! Who knew? Anyway, after that whole dramatic confrontation, you get a choice: off her or let her go. Naturally, I chose to let her go, because, like I said, I’m not a monster. But still, no suit.
I figured maybe, just maybe, if I spared her, she’d be so grateful that she’d just give me her clothes. Nope. She just kinda goes back to work, like nothing happened. Still wearing that suit that I wanted so badly.
At this point, I was starting to think that maybe it just wasn’t possible. Maybe the only way to get that darn suit was to, well, you know… But then I thought, “Hey, maybe someone else sells it?”
So I started checking out all the different clothing stores in the game. You know, the ones in Neon, Akila City, New Atlantis – all the usual spots. Spent hours browsing through their inventories, hoping to find a match. Nothing. Not even close. It’s like that suit is totally unique to Imogene.
- Step 1: Tried to pickpocket.
- Step 2: Completed Ryujin questline.
- Step 3: Confronted Imogene and chose to let her live.
- Step 4: Checked clothing stores.
So, after all that, I’ve come to the sad conclusion that you probably can’t get Imogene’s suit without killing her. Which is a bummer, because it’s a pretty cool outfit. But hey, at least I know I tried everything else first. If anyone out there has figured out a way to get it without turning to the dark side, let me know! I’m all ears. I need that suit to complete my fashion in this game!

Getting that suit is impossible unless you choose to kill her. What a pity!
