Alright, let’s talk about the “all camo challenges” in MW3. Man, what a grind it was! I decided to go for it because, well, why not? I wanted to see if I could actually do it.

First things first, I had to unlock all the base camos for each weapon. That was the easy part, just using each gun and getting those initial challenges done. It took some time, sure, but nothing too crazy. I just played normally, switching between different guns, and eventually, I got all the base camos unlocked for every weapon.
Unlocking the Mastery Camos
Now, the real challenge began. This is where you get those fancy mastery camos – Gilded, Forged, and the big one, Interstellar. Trust me, it sounds daunting, but it’s all about breaking it down.
- Gilded: For this, you gotta complete all the base camo challenges for a weapon, plus a few extra ones. I remember thinking, “Okay, I can do this.” It was mostly stuff like getting a certain number of kills without dying or with specific attachments. I started with my favorite assault rifles and SMGs, the ones I was already good with. It felt good to see that gold camo pop up.
- Forged: Once I had Gilded on a bunch of weapons, it was time for Forged. This one required completing Gilded on a minimum number of weapons in each category, plus some extra, more annoying challenges specific to each gun. For instance, it might be getting a lot of headshots or kills while sliding. It was a bit of a pain, but I just kept at it, one challenge at a time.
- Interstellar: The ultimate goal. This one is a beast. You need to get Forged on every single weapon in the game. Every. Single. One. I’m not gonna lie, there were times I wanted to give up. Some of those challenges were just brutal. But I kept pushing, kept grinding. I focused on one weapon category at a time, starting with assault rifles, then moving to SMGs, then LMGs, and so on. It took weeks, maybe even months. I lost track of time, to be honest.
Finally, after all that effort, I did it. I unlocked Interstellar. Seeing that animated, galaxy-looking camo on my guns was so satisfying. It was proof that I actually did it, that I conquered all those camo challenges.
Was it worth it? I don’t know. Maybe? It was definitely a unique experience. I learned a lot about the game, about different playstyles, and about myself. Would I do it again? Probably not. Once is enough for me. But hey, if you’re thinking about going for it, I say go for it. Just be prepared for a long, and sometimes frustrating, journey.
And that is basically my journey to obtain the MW3 camos. It was a great time spent and I believe any player that enjoys the game should try it too!
