So, I’ve always been a huge wrestling fan, right? And over the years, I’ve collected a few replica championship belts. Not a ton, but enough that they were just kinda lying around, taking up space. I wanted to do something cool with them, make them a part of my room’s decor. That’s when I started looking into different ways to display these bad boys.

First, I scoured the internet, looking for inspiration. Pinterest was a goldmine, as always. Saw a bunch of different setups, from simple shelves to elaborate wall mounts. There was this one guy who had like, a whole wall dedicated to his belts, floor to ceiling. Looked impressive, but a bit much for me. I also checked out some forums, places where other belt collectors hang out. Found some pretty creative ideas there, too.
My DIY Belt Display
-
Gathering Supplies
I decided to go with a simple, yet effective display method. I hit up my local hardware store and grabbed some sturdy wall hooks, the kind you’d use for heavy coats or something. Also picked up a level, some screws, and wall anchors, just to be safe.

Prepping the Wall
Next, I had to choose a wall. I went with the one behind my couch, since it’s a pretty prominent spot in my living room. I used the level to make sure the hooks would be straight. No one wants crooked belts, am I right?

Installing the Hooks
This was the tricky part. I marked where the hooks would go, drilled some pilot holes, and then screwed in the wall anchors. Once those were in, I attached the hooks. I made sure to double-check that they were secure cause these belts ain’t light.

Hanging the Belts
Finally, the moment of truth. I hung each belt on its own hook. I spaced them out evenly, so they wouldn’t look cluttered. Stepped back, and bam! It looked awesome. My belts were finally getting the display they deserved.
It wasn’t a super complicated project, but it made a big difference. Now, whenever I have friends over, the belts are a conversation starter. Some people think it’s a bit much, but hey, it’s my place, and I like it. And you know what the best part is? Sometimes, when I’m feeling a little down, I’ll just take one off the wall and wear it around the house. Makes me feel like a champ, even if it’s just for a little while. I know it is a bit silly, but come on, it is really fun, isn’t it? I even bought a new belt during a show of WWE, the Big Gold Belt, it was shining and pretty, and the price was not too high. So I just took it.
It’s not just about showing off the belts, it’s about having a little piece of something I love right there in my everyday life. And honestly, it just makes me happy to look at them. Who would have thought some old belts could do that?
