I tried to claim this girl named Ulrika with my California (CA) account today. It didn’t go smoothly at first, but I finally got it figured out. I’m writing down all the steps I took so it might help someone else out there.
Created a New Account
First, I made a new account. That’s simple enough, right? Just sign up with an email and stuff. You need to make sure your region is set to the US, California specifically.
Got the Game
Next, I got the game. You gotta have the game to claim the character, obviously. I bought it from the usual place I get my games. Nothing special there.
Linked the Accounts
This is where it got a little tricky. I had to link my newly created CA account to the game. It’s in the game settings, under the “Account” tab. There’s an option to link accounts. I clicked on that and followed the instructions.
- Logged in with my new CA account credentials.
- Confirmed the link on my email.
Checked for Ulrika
After linking, I checked if Ulrika was available. I went to the character selection screen. Nope, she wasn’t there yet.
Restarted Everything
I figured maybe the game needed a refresh. So, I restarted the game. Still nothing. Then I thought, “Why not restart the whole system?” I rebooted my PC. You know, just in case.
She’s Here!
After the reboot, I launched the game again. I went back to the character selection screen, and there she was! Ulrika was finally unlocked and ready to use.
It was a bit of a hassle with the restarting and all, but I finally managed to claim Ulrika with my CA account. Hopefully, this helps someone else save some time.
