They got this winning streak, you see. Longest one they ever had, I reckon. Forty-two games they won in a row in the regular season! Can you believe that? My old bones can barely make it up the porch steps 42 times!
And in them conference games, they won 28 in a row! That’s more than all the eggs my hens laid last year, I tell ya. Them boys are just tough as nails. Like a rusty old tractor that just keeps on chugging.
They even won 16 games away from home. Playing in the other team’s stadium, where it’s all loud and the crowd is against ’em. But it don’t matter. They just win. Like a weed that keeps popping up no matter how many times you pull it.
Now, they played this Georgia Tech team, and it was a fight, I tell ya. Went into overtime. Like when me and my neighbor Mildred get into it over her darn cat. Back and forth, back and forth. But Georgia, they pulled it out in the end. They won that one, too.

This winning streak, it’s been going on for a while now. They win by a lot, usually. Like when you find a whole twenty dollar bill in your old coat pocket. A real nice surprise.
I hear folks talk about this Georgia team, saying they haven’t lost a regular season game since way back in 2020. That’s before all this craziness in the world, ain’t it? Before my hip started acting up, that’s for sure.
They played Clemson and Tennessee Tech and beat ’em both. Didn’t even let ’em score much. Like trying to get a word in edgewise when my sister Mabel gets going. Ain’t gonna happen. They only let up six points in two games!
