Alright, so I decided I needed a Josh Giddey jersey. Been watching the Thunder quite a bit, and honestly, the way that kid passes the ball, it’s something else. Just got that itch, you know? Had to represent.

First thing I did was hop online. Where else do you start these days? Went straight to the official NBA store. Checked out the Thunder section. Found Giddey’s stuff. They had a few options, the blue one, the white one, I think maybe an orange one too? They call them ‘Icon’ and ‘Association’ editions, or something like that. Fancy names.
Looked at the prices. Man. Let me tell you, these official jerseys aren’t cheap. Definitely makes you pause for a second. Thought about looking elsewhere, maybe Fanatics? Checked them too, prices were pretty much the same. You always see those cheaper ones pop up on places like eBay or other sites. Super tempting, price-wise. But I’ve gone down that road before. Got a jersey once, looked okay online, showed up feeling like a cheap flag, numbers started peeling almost immediately. Decided I wasn’t gonna mess around this time. Wanted the real thing.
Getting the Right One
So, back to the official store it was. I really liked the blue one, the Icon edition I guess. Seemed like the classic look. Now the next hurdle: sizing. This is always the tricky part buying clothes online, especially jerseys. They can fit weird. Sometimes baggy, sometimes tight.
- Checked their size chart.
- Measured my chest like they said.
- Compared it to other jerseys I own.
- Still felt like a bit of a guess.
I usually wear a Large in shirts, so I decided to stick with that for the jersey. Just hoped it wouldn’t be massive or skin-tight. Added it to the cart, went through the checkout. Pretty standard stuff, put in my card details, shipping address. Paid for it. Done.
The Wait and Arrival
Then comes the waiting game. You get that order confirmation email, and then you just… wait. They gave me a tracking number after a day or two. Started checking it probably more often than I should have. You know how it is. ‘Out for delivery’ is always the best update to see.

Took about, maybe five or six days? The package finally showed up. Standard shipping bag. Ripped it open pretty quick. Pulled the jersey out. First impression? Looked good. The blue color was sharp. Material felt decent, like a proper jersey should. Checked the stitching on the name and numbers, looked solid. That’s always my worry with fakes – bad stitching.
Trying it On
Had to try it on right away, of course. Threw it over the t-shirt I had on. Fit was actually pretty good. Maybe a little bit on the roomier side, but that’s fine for a jersey. Better than being too tight. Arm holes felt right, length was good.
Wore it later that week to watch a game. Felt good having it on, repping Giddey and the team. Yeah, it cost a bit more than those sketchy sites, but honestly, felt worth it for the real deal. No regrets. It’s hanging up now, ready for the next game day.
