Well, I heard you folks was wonderin’ ’bout that Nebraska game final score. Lord knows, I done seen a lot of them games in my time. That team, they sure can run the ball, I tell ya. Reminds me of my old mule, Bessie, when she got a bee in her bonnet. Stubborn, but she could sure move when she wanted to.
Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oh My!
Now, that there Nebraska Cornhuskers team, they got a history, you know? Used to be they was called somethin’ else, but folks started callin’ ’em Cornhuskers, kinda mean like. But then they liked it, I guess. Like callin’ a hog fat, it just means they’re doin’ good, right? They had lots of wins, back in the day.
They done won a whole bunch of them conference championships. Forty-six, they say! That’s more than the number of chickens I had at one time. And national championships? Five of them. Like findin’ a five-dollar bill in your old apron pocket, that’s how special that is. 1970, 1971, then 1994, 1995, and 1997. I remember those years. The weather was good.
Nebraska Football These Days
They play at that big stadium, you know, the one they call Tom Osborne Field at Memorial Stadium. Big place. Bigger than my whole farm, that’s for sure. Lots of folks go there to watch them play. I ain’t never been, too many people for me, but I hear it’s somethin’. They got a fella named Bob Devaney who was hired in 1962. He had some success, I guess.
Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. Just like life, ain’t it? One time, they played that Colorado Buffaloes team. The Nebraska game final score was 28-10, if I remember right. Nebraska won that one. But it were close. Like tryin’ to thread a needle with these old eyes. But recently, they lost to that Indiana team, 56-7. That must have hurt. Like sitting on a thumbtack, I reckon. Then there was that time they played Ohio. They were winning at first, then they weren’t.
- They played that Iowa Hawkeyes team too.
- They play on TV, on that NBC channel, I think.
- They even stream it on that Peacock thingamajig now.
Nebraska Football: Wins and Losses
Now, they had a game against that Northern Iowa Panthers. They won that one big. The score was 34-3. Like when I used to win at bingo down at the church. Good times. One time they played that UCLA team. The final score was 27-20. That Dylan Raiola fella, he threw the ball, and it went the wrong way. They lost that one.

One time, they was playin’ against Northwestern. I don’t rightly recall who won that one, but it was a Big Ten West battle. Sounds important, don’t it? Like two roosters fightin’ over a hen. But sometimes they lose three games in a row! Like my old cow, Betsy, going dry for a spell. That’s no good for anybody.
Nebraska Game: Home and Away
They play some games at home, some games away. Like my boy, Earl, when he went off to the city. Comes back sometimes, but he’s mostly gone. Sometimes they win on the road, sometimes they don’t. Just depends on the day, I reckon. I heard that Michigan team, they only played at home this season. That ain’t right.
Well, I hope that tells ya somethin’ ’bout that Nebraska game final score. It changes every time they play, ya know. Just like the weather. Can’t never predict it. But one thing’s for sure, them Cornhuskers, they sure do keep things interestin’. They try their best, most times. Just gotta keep on playin’, I guess. That’s all any of us can do, ain’t it? Just keep on keepin’ on, like an old tractor pullin’ a heavy load.
