Okay, so, the other day I was digging around for some info on the 2016 Wimbledon, specifically the women’s singles, right? And let me tell you, it turned into a bit of a rabbit hole.

First, I started with a simple search. Just typed in “Wimbledon 2016 women’s singles champion” into the search bar. Boom, tons of results.
Found out quickly that Serena Williams won that year. She beat Angelique Kerber in the final. The score was 7-5, 6-3, straight sets. Pretty dominant stuff.
- Read a bunch of articles about the match. Seems like it was a big deal because it was Serena’s 22nd Grand Slam title, tying Steffi Graf’s record. What a legend!
- Then I got curious about the whole tournament. Dug into the brackets, you know, seeing who played who.
- There were so many languages on one site, it was crazy! Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, English, Suomi, loads more.
- Browsed through some player profiles. Lots of familiar names, and some I hadn’t heard of before.
Diving Deeper into 2016 Wimbledon
It was held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, that’s in London. And it’s a grass court tournament, which is kind of cool, different from the others. This whole thing took me a good chunk of the afternoon, just reading and clicking around. Even stumbled upon some forum where people were still debating the matches, years later!
I also found a game named CodyCross. The question above is one of the answers to this game. It seems to be a very interesting game. Maybe I will try it later.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to spend so much time on this, but it was actually pretty interesting. You start with one question, and next thing you know, you’re knee-deep in tennis history.
