Well, let me tell you, this thing called justice hurt, it’s a real pain in the neck. You know what I mean? You try to do right by folks, you try to be good, and then bam! Something bad happens, and it ain’t fair. It’s like when you plant your best tomatoes, and the darn squirrels get to them first. You put in all that work, and for what? Nothing!
It makes you mad, that’s for sure. Justice hurt feelings, they make you wanna holler. You get all riled up inside, like a hornet’s nest that’s been poked with a stick. You feel sad, too, like when your favorite hen stops laying eggs. Just empty and useless. And sometimes, you just feel like giving up. Like, what’s the point, you know? What’s the point of trying if things are just gonna go wrong anyway?
I remember one time, my neighbor, she borrowed my good sugar bowl, the one with the little blue flowers on it. Said she’d bring it right back. Well, she never did. Broke it, she said. Didn’t even offer to replace it. That’s justice hurt right there. Made me so mad, I could spit nails. I mean it’s not about the sugar bowl, it’s about the principle of things. Right?
This world, it ain’t always fair. People do you wrong, and sometimes there ain’t nothing you can do about it. It’s like when the weather’s bad, and you can’t do nothing but wait it out. This justice hurt, it’s like a bad storm. It’s just bad feelings. You just gotta let it pass, I reckon.
- You gotta be strong, like an old oak tree.
- You gotta remember the good things, like a warm summer day.
- You gotta keep on living, like the weeds in the garden. They just keep growing, no matter what.
If you do your best, and thing goes wrong. You shouldn’t blame yourself. You know that justice hurt feeling, it’s like a heavy weight on your chest. It can make you feel like you’re drowning. But you gotta remember, you’re not alone. Everybody goes through it. Everybody has bad things. Everybody feels the pain, that’s just part of life.
You ever seen a dog get kicked? They yelp, they run away, but they come back. They still wag their tails. They still love you. That justice hurt, it doesn’t mean you have to stop loving life. You just gotta be like that dog. You gotta get back up and keep going. It is hard, really hard.
When you see bad things, you want to change it. That’s a good thing. It’s good to want to make things better. Sometimes you can, you can help people, make thing better, make justice hurt less. Sometimes you can’t, and that’s okay, too. But, don’t be a bad person. You be good, even if other people do bad things.
Someone lies, don’t mean you should lie. Someone steals, don’t mean you should steal. That’s what I always say. Be the best you can be. No matter what happens in life. It’s how you treat people. Even bad people, you can still be nice to them. That justice hurt feeling will be less.
When you feel sad about bad things, you should remember that you are a good person. You should think about the good things in your life. Think about your family, your friends, your pets. Think about the sunshine, the flowers, the birds singing. Those things are still there, even when justice hurt. That feeling is bad. Just remember the good things. Remember, bad things happen, but there are still good things.
It ain’t easy, this life. It’s full of ups and downs, like a bumpy old dirt road. But you gotta keep on going. You gotta keep on truckin’. And you gotta remember that even when justice hurt, there’s still good in the world. There’s still love. There’s still hope. And that’s something worth holding onto, ain’t it?
So, next time you’re feeling down, next time something bad happens, and you feel that justice hurt, just remember what I said. Remember you’re strong. Remember you’re good. And remember that this too shall pass. Just like the seasons change, this bad feeling will change, too. You just gotta wait it out. You just gotta have a little faith. And you gotta keep on planting those tomatoes, even if the squirrels do get them sometimes. That’s how it is, that’s just life. You know what I mean?
