Well, let me tell you somethin’ about that there F1 2006 Sauber BMW. That’s what they called it, fancy name for a race car, I reckon. Back in 2006, that was the car BMW Sauber team used to race in that Formula One thing. Fast cars, you know, faster than a greased piglet at the county fair.
They had this German fella, Nick Heidfeld, driving one of ’em. Came over from the Williams team, whatever that is. And then there was this Canadian, Jacques Villeneuve. He was with Sauber before, then BMW bought the whole shebang. Heard they had Robert Kubica driving that thing, too. Fast as a hiccup, they say. He won a race, I hear.
That 2006 year, they said it was a “transitional” year, all highfalutin words. Just means they were gettin’ used to things, I suppose. But that car, that F1.06, it did alright. Got some points, which is good, I guess. Not sure what points get ya, but it sounds important. They were in fifth place that year.

They had somethin called a “livery.” Fancy word for how the car looked, I reckon. Painted up all nice and shiny. You know, gotta look good when you’re goin’ that fast. Like puttin’ lipstick on a pig, but a fast pig.
They started early, I heard. March 1, 2006, they were talkin about it. Then March 12, 2006, they were ready to go in Bahrain. January 17, they were already showing it off in Valencia. They sure do love showing off.
In 2006 BMW Sauber team did pretty good. They got two podium finishes and got fifth place. The drivers were good. The car was good. BMW F1.06, that’s its name.
Then in 2009, BMW up and left. Sold the team back to that Peter Sauber fella. Imagine that. They kept the BMW name for a bit in 2010, used some Ferrari engines, I heard. Then they were just “Sauber” again. They are still racing now.
Heard they got some other drivers now. Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto. These names, I can’t keep up. In 2007 they got second place because McLaren team was kicked out. Ain’t that somethin?
That BMW, they’ve been in racin’ since the 1950s. Long time, long time. But I hear folks sayin’ BMW can only lose in F1. Don’t know what that means, but it don’t sound good. I reckon they got history.
F1 2006 Sauber BMW was a good car in that year. Fast car. Good drivers. That’s all I know. Ain’t no expert on these things. Just what I hear folks talkin’ about.
These Formula One cars, they’re somethin’ else. All them fancy parts and fast speeds. Not like the old tractor back home. That old thing’s got more character, though.

Those F1 2006 Sauber BMW cars had good engines. Probably big engines. Need a big engine to go that fast. They were loud, I bet. Like a whole bunch of angry bees.
You know, racin’ is like life, I reckon. Gotta keep movin’ forward. Gotta be fast. Gotta have good people around you. And sometimes, you just gotta sell the whole thing back to the fella you bought it from.
