Today I wanna talk about a baseball player, Eric Silva. I knew nothing about this guy before, but I found his story pretty interesting after digging around.

So, first I did some research online. Typed “Eric Silva baseball” into the search bar, and BOOM, tons of stuff popped up. I started clicking through the results, you know, just to see what this guy’s all about.
Turns out, he’s a pitcher. And a pretty good one, it seems. He started with the San Francisco Giants. I read that he had a killer fastball in high school. It said he was hitting 97 mph! I mean, for a high school kid, that’s insane! He usually throws between 90-94 mph, which is still super fast.
- First, he got drafted by the Giants.
- Then, he played in the minor leagues.
- After that, he got traded to the Detroit Tigers.
Then I found out he recently got traded. It looks like he went from the San Francisco Giants to the Detroit Tigers. Apparently, the Tigers gave up an outfielder named Mark Canha to get him. I read that Canha was a solid player for the Tigers, so it seems like they really wanted Silva.
I kept reading and saw some reports about his performance. One article mentioned him striking out three batters in a row to get a save in a Double-A game. That’s a big deal! It sounds like he has a lot of potential.
I also found that Crawford has retired after 14 seasons. He played with the Giants for a long time and won a couple of World Series.

I also saw some articles talking about his “fantasy value.” I don’t really follow fantasy baseball, but it seems like people are excited about him. One source said there was “no outlook written for him in 2025,” which I guess means he’s still kind of an unknown quantity.
It seems like he has spent most of his career in the Bay Area. It will be interesting to see what he does with the Tigers. I don’t know much about the team, but I hope he does well there.
Wrapping up
After going through all this info, I feel like I’ve got a decent handle on Eric Silva’s career so far. From a promising high schooler to a traded minor leaguer with a lot of upside, it’s been a wild ride for him. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him to see how he develops in the future.
And I saw some news about him being traded for Mark Canha. I guess Canha was doing a nice job for the Tigers, but they traded him to get Silva. That tells me that Silva must be a pretty big deal.
