Okay, here is my sharing about the EPL table in 15/16.

So, I was digging into the 2015-16 Premier League the other day. What a wild ride that season was, right?

First off, I started by gathering all the data I could find. I mean, literally everything – match results, who scored, who got carded, the whole nine yards. There were a bunch of places online where I could find bits and pieces, but I wanted it all in one place.

So, I began pulling data from various websites. I spent hours, maybe even days, just copy-pasting stuff into a spreadsheet. Yeah, it was tedious, but I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to these things.

Once I had all the data in one place, I started organizing it. I created columns for each team, their wins, losses, draws, goals for, goals against, and all that jazz. Then, I double-checked everything to make sure I didn’t mess up any of the numbers. You know how it is, one wrong digit and the whole thing’s off.

My Spreadsheet

With the data all sorted, I started playing around with it. I calculated each team’s points, their goal difference, and all sorts of other stats. It was actually pretty fun to see it all come together. I even made some colorful charts to visualize the standings. It looked like one of the official sites, not too bad.

  • Leicester City – This was the big one, right? They were the ultimate underdogs, and they went on to win the whole thing! I remember watching some of their games, and they were electric. Pure magic!
  • Arsenal – They finished second that year. A bit disappointing for them, I guess, after such a great start.
  • Tottenham Hotspur – These guys were in the hunt for the title too, but they kinda faded towards the end. Still, a solid third-place finish.
  • Manchester City – They were the defending champs, but they only managed fourth place. I guess they were focusing on the Champions League or something.
  • Manchester United – Fifth place. Not great, not terrible. Their fans were probably fuming, though, always expect them up there.

I spent a good chunk of time just staring at that final table. It was a thing of beauty, man. Leicester on top, defying all odds. And then you had all the usual suspects, the big clubs, trailing behind them. It really was a season for the ages.

I even printed out the table and stuck it on my wall. It’s still there, a reminder that anything is possible in football. That’s why we love this game, right? You never know what’s gonna happen.

Anyways, that’s my little adventure with the 2015-16 Premier League table. Hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did.
