Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into Persona 3 Reload lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to share my experience with this Emperor Beetle thing because it was quite the adventure. So, picture this: I’m exploring Tartarus, just minding my own business, right?

First things first, I needed that Beetle Shell. I remembered reading somewhere that I could find it on the lower floors, like 6 through 15, from these Grave Beetle enemies. Okay, cool. So I started grinding those floors, battling my way through. Turns out, these Grave Beetles are wimps when it comes to Wind attacks. Seriously, I just spammed Garu skills, knocked ’em down, and either went in for an All-Out Attack or just whacked them with melee weapons to try and make ’em dizzy.
It took a bit of time, but I finally got my Beetle Shell. But this was just the beginning, my friends. This was for crafting you know.
- Emperor Beetle Weakness: Fire
- Grave Beetle Weakness: Wind
- Materials Needed: Beetle Shell (Floors 6-15), Obsessive Sand (Floor 230)
Then came the real challenge – getting the Obsessive Sand. Now, this was way up on floor 230. Let me tell you, the climb was intense. Every floor was a new battle, a new strategy. But I pushed through, leveled up my Personas, and finally made it.
And then I faced it – the Obsessive Sand boss. This thing was a beast. No joke, it tanked all my magic attacks. It was like hitting a brick wall. So, what did I do? I switched up my team. I remembered someone saying to bring Aigis, so I did. I put together a crew of my strongest physical attackers, making sure none of them were weak to light, because you never know.
Round Two: Emperor Beetle Battle
It was a slugfest, I won’t lie. But I kept at it, using physical attacks, buffing my team, and debuffing that big old beetle. It was a long, drawn-out battle, but in the end, I emerged victorious. The feeling of finally beating it was amazing. After all of this, I crafted what I want.

So yeah, that’s my Emperor Beetle story in Persona 3 Reload. It was tough, but totally worth it. If you’re struggling with it, just remember: Garu for the Grave Beetles, and a solid physical team for the Obsessive Sand. And hey, if I can do it, so can you! Keep pushing through Tartarus, and you’ll conquer it in no time. Good luck, fellow gamers!
