Well, shucks, did you hear the big news? Them Eagles done gone and clinched a spot in the playoffs! Yep, you heard that right. My old ears ain’t failin’ me yet. They’re goin’ to the big dance!
They been winnin’ and winnin’. Nine games in a row, they won. Like a chicken with its head cut off, they been runnin’ all over them other teams. Beat them Carolina Panthers, they did. Tough old birds, those Panthers. But our Eagles, they was tougher! That score, 22-16, that’s what I heard. They’re really somethin’ this year, I tell ya.
And it ain’t just that win. Some other teams, the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals, they lost. And that helped our boys, it did. Cleared the path right up for ’em. All these football things are complicated, but the main thing, that Eagles clinch playoff spot, that what this old lady is sayin’.
