Dubai Meydan: What You Need to Know (Simple Guide for Visitors)

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out the Meydan area in Dubai for a while now. I kept hearing about it, you know, the racecourse, the fancy hotels, all that jazz. So, I finally decided to make a day of it.

Dubai Meydan: What You Need to Know (Simple Guide for Visitors)

First thing I did was hop on the metro. I got off at the Business Bay station, thinking it would be close. Turns out, it’s not that close. It’s walkable, sure, but in the Dubai heat? Not ideal. I ended up taking a taxi for the rest of the way. Note to self: next time, just taxi it straight there.

When I arrived, I was immediately struck by how massive everything is. The Meydan Racecourse is seriously impressive, even when there are no races going on. I just walked around, taking it all in. The architecture is pretty cool, very modern and sleek.

  • Explored the grandstand area. It’s huge!
  • Checked out the restaurants and cafes. Plenty of choices, but definitely on the pricier side.
  • Looked atThe Meydan Hotel. I didn’t go inside, but it looked super luxurious from the outside.

I spent a couple of hours just wandering around, taking pictures. It’s a pretty impressive place, I have to say. It has great environment with great building surrounded.

My Final Thoughts

It’s a nice place to visit if you’re into horse racing, or if you just want to see some impressive architecture. Would I go back? Maybe, but probably only for a special event, like a race day. Otherwise, it’s a bit out of the way, and there are other things in Dubai I’d rather spend my time and money on. But hey, it was a good experience!
