Hey everyone, it’s your boy back at it again, and today we’re talking about my little adventure with Drew Avans and the Dodgers. You know, that minor-league guy, Drew Avans? Yeah, that’s the one. I got really into following his journey, and I want to share my whole process with you guys.
So, I started by digging into this whole thing. I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty green at first. Didn’t know much about the minor leagues or how all that works. But I was curious about Drew Avans, so I just dove in. I started with the basics, you know, just googling his name, checking out his stats, and trying to get a feel for who he is as a player. I even found his player page, which was a goldmine of information.
Then, I started following the Dodgers’ organization more closely. I scoured through transaction logs, trying to keep up with any news about Drew. Turns out, he’s been with the Dodgers for a while, but recently, he switched teams! I know, right? Big news in my little world of Drew Avans tracking.
- I followed the rookie–level Arizona League Dodgers.
- Then kept an eye on the rookie–level Ogden Raptors.
- And tracked him to the Single–A Great Lakes Loons.
It was kind of a bummer to see him leave the Dodgers, but hey, that’s baseball, right? I decided to follow his journey to his new team. I won’t lie, it was a bit of work keeping up with all the moves, but I was determined to see where Drew ended up.
I also got more into the minor league scene in general. I started learning about other prospects, other teams, and just how the whole system operates. It’s actually pretty fascinating once you get into it. And let me tell you, this whole experience has given me a newfound appreciation for these guys in the minors. They work so hard, and it’s not always glamorous.
The Payoff
In the end, I felt like I really accomplished something. I went from knowing nothing about Drew Avans or the minor leagues to actually understanding a bit of this world. It’s been a fun ride, and I’m glad I could share it with you all. Who knows, maybe I’ll pick another player to follow next season. Any suggestions?
