Well, today I tried to figure out the Reading Fightin Phils’ home schedule for the 2024 season. You know, I’m a big fan, and I really wanted to catch some games at the FirstEnergy Stadium.
So, first off, I started searching for information. I learned that the Reading Fightin Phils announced their home schedule in conjunction with Major League Baseball. That’s cool, right? I mean, it’s organized and official.
I found out that the home opener is gonna be on a Tuesday. I was a bit surprised, I mean, usually they start during a weekend, but okay, Tuesday it is. I marked it down in my calendar. I really don’t wanna miss that first game of the season at home, you know.
Then, I went to try and find the full schedule. It was a bit of digging, but I managed. I found a place where they listed all the game times and even the road dates. Now I have a clearer idea of when I can go and cheer for our team.
I also learned a bit about what I can bring into the stadium. Apparently, you can’t bring in any bottles, cans, or coolers. But, good news is, unopened plastic bottles that are non-alcoholic are allowed, and baby bottles too. Also, they let you bring in single-serve, soft-sided juice containers, but you gotta let them inspect it first. That’s fair, safety first, right?
And man, this FirstEnergy Stadium sounds awesome! They call it a historic facility with a bunch of unique ballpark characters. I read you can cheer for the Fightin Phils, scream for the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor, and even rock out with the Mascot Band. Sounds like a blast! They call it Baseballtown, and from what I gather, it’s really something special.

- Gates open at 5:00 PM
- Buffet dinner starts at 6:00 PM
Looks like if you wanna grab some food, the buffet starts at 6:00. Good to know. I’ll probably get there early to enjoy the atmosphere and grab a bite before the game starts.
So yeah, that was my little adventure today, figuring out the Phils’ schedule and all the details about going to a game. I’m really pumped for the season to start. Hopefully, I’ll see some of you guys there, cheering along with me!
