Okay, so, yesterday I took my daughter to Cindy Jones Park, and man, it was such a chill day. We packed some snacks, grabbed a frisbee, and headed out. It’s in this quiet little neighborhood, really peaceful.
When we got there, the first thing we did was find a good spot under a big tree. It was perfect for spreading out our blanket and just relaxing for a bit. The weather was awesome, not too hot, just right.
Here’s what we did:
- Played Frisbee: After chilling for a while, we got up and started tossing the frisbee around. There’s plenty of open space, so we didn’t have to worry about hitting anyone. My daughter’s getting pretty good at it!
- Snack Time: We took a break and munched on the snacks we brought. It’s amazing how much better food tastes when you’re outside.
- Walked Around: There are some nice walking paths, so we took a stroll and just enjoyed the scenery. It’s a pretty well-maintained park, lots of green and some flowers.
- People Watching: We sat on a bench for a bit and just watched other families and kids playing. It’s a good spot for that.
- Headed Home: After a few hours, we packed up and headed home. It was getting a bit late, and we were both pretty tired, but in a good way.
It was a simple day, but really nice. Sometimes, you don’t need to do anything fancy to have a good time. Just being outside, spending time with my daughter, that’s what made it special. It made me think of planning our next outing, maybe somewhere like Pampanga or Cornwall, but those are stories for another time.
I think we’ll definitely be going back to Cindy Jones Park. It’s a great place to unwind and just enjoy a quiet afternoon.
