Okay, so yesterday I started messing around with this “Days of Thunder” thing, trying to get it to work. It was a bit of a pain, honestly. I spent a good chunk of the afternoon just trying to figure out the initial setup. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, you know?

First, I downloaded all the necessary files. That took a while because my internet’s been acting up lately. It kept disconnecting and I had to restart the download like three times. Seriously frustrating!
Getting Started
- Downloaded the main program file.
- Grabbed the extra data packs they recommended.
- Found a “read me” file, which I actually read (for once!).
Then came the installation part. I followed the instructions in the “read me” file, but of course, it wasn’t as simple as they made it sound. I hit a snag with some dependency thing – I swear, these tech terms are like a foreign language to me.
So, I googled the error message, and after scrolling through a bunch of forums, I finally found a solution. Some guy had the same problem and posted a workaround. I copied and pasted his command into the terminal thingy, and… boom! It worked! I felt like a genius for about five seconds.
Troubleshooting
After that, I launched the program, and it actually started up! I spent the next hour or so just playing around with the basic features, clicking buttons, and seeing what happened. It was pretty cool, I gotta admit. I managed to get some basic stuff working, like changing the colors and adding some text. Baby steps, right?
But then I tried to do something a little more complicated, and… yeah, that didn’t go so well. The program crashed. Classic. I restarted it a few times, but the same thing kept happening. So, I decided to call it a night. I was getting tired anyway.

Today, I picked up where I left off. I re-read the instructions, watched a couple of YouTube tutorials (which were surprisingly helpful), and tried a different approach. And guess what? It worked! I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. It was a simple setting that I had overlooked. Facepalm moment, for sure.
Success! (Finally)
Now, I’m actually making some real progress. I’m still learning the ropes, but I’m definitely getting the hang of it. I even managed to create a simple project that I’m kind of proud of. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start!
So, that’s my “Days of Thunder 2” journey so far. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, with some frustrating moments and some “aha!” moments. But hey, that’s all part of the learning process, right? I’ll keep you guys updated on my progress. Wish me luck!
