Okay, so today I decided to dig into the players from the Cubs and Guardians. You know, just kind of mess around and see what I could find. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, so I finally got around to it.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to actually, like, get the player data. I started by just opening up a few baseball websites I know, stuff like the team’s official pages, some sports news sites. I figured I’d just manually grab the info – no fancy tools or anything, just good old-fashioned copy and paste.
I created a simple spreadsheet to keep everything organized. I have columns for basic stuff, player name, position, some key stats, things like that.
Collecting the Data
Man, gathering this stuff was a bit of a pain. I had to jump between different websites, and sometimes the formats were all different, so I was spending time just, cleaning things up to get it all consistent in my spreadsheet.
I found some useful lists of players, but then I had to go and look up each player individually on other sites to fill in the missing details. Honestly,it took longer than I thought it would.
Building My Spreadsheet
Slowly but surely, I started filling in my * wasn’t pretty, but it was getting the job done. For the Cubs, I focused on getting the core players first, the names I recognized, then filled in the rest.

Same thing for the Guardians. I knew a few of their big names, so I started with them.
- Column 1: Player Name
- Column 2: Position
- Column 3: Some random stats.
It was tedious, but I got into a rhythm. I had some music playing in the background, which helped.
Finishing Up
After a good chunk of time, I finally had a spreadsheet with a decent amount of players from both teams. It’s not, like, totally complete or anything, but it’s a good start. I feel like I have a better sense of who’s on each team now, at least.
I think I will keep adding to it over time, kind of like a little side project. It was more work than I expected, but hey, I learned something new!
