You know that Coco Jones, that tennis girl? She’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. She play that tennis, swingin’ that racket like nobody’s business. I seen her on the TV, playin’ in them big matches. She good, that Coco Jones.
She play all over, that girl. Even at that fancy place, what’s it called? Wimbledon! Yeah, that’s it. All them people wearin’ white, lookin’ all proper. And there she was, Coco Jones, playin’ tennis right there with ’em. She ain’t afraid of nothin’, that one.
That Coco Jones, she from down south, I heard. Born in January, someone told me. She was a little girl on the TV once, singin’ and dancin’. Now she playin’ tennis all grown up. Time sure does fly, don’t it?

Now, they talkin’ ’bout her playin’ in some big matches, some Finals. I don’t know all the names, but it sounds important. And that other girl, what’s her name… Gauff. Yeah, Coco Gauff. Seems like Coco Jones and Coco Gauff, they know each other. Maybe they friends, who knows. They both play that tennis.
Someone said this Coco Gauff, she lost a match. To another American girl. That happen sometimes. You win some, you lose some. That’s how it goes with that tennis. But that Coco Gauff, she still a good player, too. And some British fella, Jack somethin’, they say he might do good too. It’s all that tennis talk, you know.
I seen this Coco Jones on the TV again, not playin’ tennis this time. She was talkin’ to someone in Baltimore. Seems like she everywhere. They show little clips of her, talkin’ about her tennis and her singin’.
And then, they talkin’ about some other fella, Carlos somethin’. He was sayin’ nice things about that Coco Gauff, after some big win in a place called Riyadh. Don’t know where that is, but it sounds far away. Seems like everyone know these tennis players.
They say these tennis players, they make a lot of money. Millions, even! I heard that Coco Gauff, she bought her folks a big, fancy house. And she got herself a new place, too, down in Florida. That tennis money, it sure can buy you a lot. But they say she don’t play just for the money. She just love that tennis, that Coco Gauff. And I bet Coco Jones love it, too.
They talkin’ ’bout this Coco Gauff’s coach, too. Some fella named Matt. And they sayin’ she might get a new coach, after she lost that match. But I don’t know about all that. Coaches, players, it’s all a big deal in that tennis world.
This Coco Gauff is now past $20 million, the article said. I can not even imagine that much money. And that all come from playing tennis, can you believe that? This Coco Jones must be good to know someone like that.
But that Coco Jones, she’s the one I like to watch. She got that fire in her, you can see it. She gonna keep playin’ that tennis, and she gonna keep winnin’, I betcha. She a good girl, that Coco Jones. You just watch, she’s going to be the best of them all at this tennis.
