Buying a 800 nk? Heres What You Need to Know First!

So, I’ve been messing around with this CFMoto 800NK bike for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s a pretty interesting machine. I got my hands on one and, naturally, I wanted to see what this thing could really do.

First off, I took it out on some open roads. This thing is quick. I mean, I pushed it and pushed it, and I easily got it going fast. The specs say it can do over 137mph, and I believe it. Felt like I could push it even further, but I didn’t want to get too crazy.

  • Started out slow, getting a feel for the throttle and the clutch.
  • Gradually increased speed, testing the handling and responsiveness.
  • Opened it up on a straight stretch to see what she could do.
  • Played around with the different modes, rain, street, and sport, just to see how they felt.

Next, I did some comparing in my head. I’ve ridden a Yamaha MT-09 before, and this 800NK feels similar in some ways, but also different. Like, the MT-09 seems to have more torque at the low end, you feel it pulling more strongly right from the start. The 800NK though, it feels like the power comes on a bit later, you know, higher up in the RPMs.

I noticed the 800NK has only two cylinders, while the MT-09 has three. Also, the MT-09 has a bigger engine, but this 800NK definitely held its own. It has a 799cc engine, but it uses it well. It feels light and flickable, and that engine really sings when you open it up.

Then I started thinking about the price. This thing is way cheaper than some of the European bikes, like the KTM, but it feels surprisingly similar on the road. It’s light, nimble, and powerful. I was honestly surprised at how good it felt for the money.

I also spent some time just riding it around town. It’s comfortable enough for everyday use. It’s not too heavy, so it’s easy to maneuver in traffic, and the seat’s not bad. The digital display is pretty cool too. It changes depending on what riding mode you’re in, which is a nice touch.

Final Thoughts

All in all, I’ve been really enjoying my time with the 800NK. It’s a fun, powerful, and affordable bike. If you’re looking for something in this class, it’s definitely worth checking out. I’ve even been thinking about buying one myself. It’s just a great all-around bike that’s a blast to ride.
