Okay, here’s my story about how I got into this whole “auto monoplaza” thing. It all started with a buddy of mine dragging me to a local track day. I’ve always loved cars, but I never really thought about racing them myself. You know, it seemed like something other people did, not me. But man, once I got out there and saw those guys zipping around, I was hooked.

After a few track days, I started getting a little more serious. I started looking into amateur racing. There are different kinds, you know, like autocross, where you race against the clock through a course marked by cones. It’s a good way to start because it’s less about flat-out speed and more about car control.

Now, when it comes to gear, that’s where things can get pricey. But for starting, you mainly need a good helmet, some racing gloves, and comfortable shoes. It is all about safety. I also found some resources online – some articles and some videos explaining the basics of racing, like the racing line and how to handle different types of turns. It was all pretty overwhelming at first, but I just took it one step at a time.

And now, there is news about the 2026 F1 season, they’re talking about getting rid of DRS and replacing it with something called MOM (Manual Override Mode). It sounds interesting, but to be honest, I’m still trying to figure out DRS. Baby steps, right?

It’s not always easy, and it can definitely be expensive, but if you’re passionate about cars and have that itch to go fast, I’d say it’s totally worth it. This is my way to go into the “auto monoplaza”.
